CPOE for Scheduled Surgeries

Hello Fellow Meditechies:

 

I am looking for process information related to Order Entry in the Surgical Services arena.  Specifically, does anyone know of a site that uses PRE IN accounts for future surgeries (which could be as much as 30 days ahead of time) and at the same time, has a process for providers entering orders electronically on these types of accounts?

I am also needing this information. We use an account number for the PAT visit and one for the surgery visit. However, this required the surgeon to enter orders on 2 different accounts. We are looking at a way to improve this process.
